You Were Made For Me
Author(s): Jenna Guillaume
The day I created a boy started out like any other.
Katie didn't mean to create a boy. A boy like a long-lost Hemsworth brother: six-foot tall with floppy hair and eyes like the sky on a clear summer's day; whose lips taste like cookie dough and whose skin smells like springtime. A boy who is completely devoted to Katie. He was meant to be perfect. But he was never meant to exist.
Praise for What I Like About Me

MATILDA BOOKSHOP REVIEW
This kooky and compulsively readable book is charming and ridiculously easy to fall into. When Katie and Libby accidentally create Katie’s dream guy—six-foot, devoted, Hemsworth-brother-gorgeous—they’re faced with all sorts of trouble, the creating-a-person-out-of-thin-air kind of trouble. Guy has no birth certificate, no tax file number and, scariest of all, no belly button. And his arrival calls into question what it means to have purpose, to be a good friend and to truly love someone. To read this is to be thoroughly entertained by its quirkiness. Great for teens 14 and up. Heloise

MACLEAN'S BOOKS REVIEW:
We loved Australian author Jenna Guillaume's first book 'What I Like About Me' and I was so pleased to discover that her second is just as good - bursting with personality, humour and heart. The book reads a bit like a 90's rom-com but also gently touches on some more serious topics such as body image, bullying, grief and the myth of the 'perfect' love or person. A great read for ages 14 and up.
