Grapevine Rootstocks: Selection and Management for South Australian Vineyards
Author(s): Nick Dry
Rootstocks are an undervalued management tool in Australia, habitually ignored despite their potential to provide viticultural benefits to growers in warm and cool climate vineyards. Too often the prevailing perception is that choosing a suitable rootstock for a particular vineyard site is hyper-complex and to be avoided. This publication will give growers, viticulturists and vineyard managers all the information necessary to make appropriate rootstock choices for their specific site and climate. This publication is the culmination of three years of data collection and observations of rootstock performance in commercial vineyards across the major viticultural regions of South Australia.
