Born in Melbourne, Peter Thompson now lives in London, having enjoyed a successful career as a journalist in the UK. He has written biographies of Robert Maxwell and Jack Nicholson, among others. More recently, his books have included The Battle of Brisbane, Kill the Tiger (with Robert Macklin) and The Battle for Singapore. He visits Australia regularly.
