Author description

Polly Dunbar is a major new picture book talent. She is the author-illustrator of Penguin (9781844280650), Dog Blue (9781844285143) and Flyaway Katie (978184428517), and the illustrator of Shoe Baby (9781406301618), written by her mother, Joyce Dunbar. Polly thinks that colour is a brilliant way to cheer yourself up and whenever she's feeling grey, she puts on her best pink frock and paints. Besides drawing, her favourite things are eating chocolate with coffee, blue shoes, singing along to The Beatles and stroking cats. Polly lives and works in Brighton.
