DescriptionUntil the age of forty, M. C. Escher traveled a great deal, feeling his insatiable eys with constantly shifting Mediterranean landscapes. Then he returned to Holland, put away his luggage, and set out on a series of internal odysseys. Maps of other worlds, his prints ceased to represent a tangible reality and instead suggested the results of taking up strange tools to buld in accordance with Escherian laws on distant planets.
